Eid al-Fitr in SLO County
March 9, 2027. The exact date depends on the moon sighting and may shift by a day.
Eid al-Fitr closes Ramadan with morning prayer and a celebration meal. In SLO County the Eid prayer is held in a hall or park large enough for everyone at once, followed by food, gifts for the children and visiting through the day. The date is confirmed only when the new moon is sighted, usually a day or two ahead.
